The IMPRS-CellDevoSys welcomes applications from talented and creative young scientists who are curious by nature and hunger for new solutions under our research mission. PhD Program applicants, in general, have completed or are currently completing a Master's Degree in biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related fields. Candidates should demonstrate excellent prior academic performance and research experience. Successful candidates possess a burning ambition to shape the future of science and the ability to thrive in a highly competitive, interdisciplinary environment. Distinctive proficiency in textbook scientific knowledge is essential. Enthusiasm and collegiality are also vital.

All IMPRS-CellDevoSys PhD students are exclusively accepted via the central selection procedure of the Dresden International PhD Program, jointly organized by the Dresden International Graduate School for Biomedicine and Bioengineering and the International Max Planck Research School for Cell, Developmental and Systems Biology. Candidates who are short-listed for interview will be invited to participate in our interview week in Dresden, taking place 5-9 March 2018. Travel costs and accommodation for invited candidates will be covered. Personal participation in the interview week in Dresden is required for admittance to our PhD program.
